Rua is set to redefine the art of indulgence and conscious eating! From medical school to fleeing war in Iraq, her career started in preventative healthcare and nutritional counseling in Canada, then transitioned into business and marketing as she relocated to the US. What started as a necessary solution to her son’s-dairy allergy, quickly sparked her passion for intentional living and nutrition. This has brought her to the birth of Planthropie. The concept bridged her background in medicine, nutrition, and business with her artistry and passion for healing with food as medicine.
Rua uses culinary arts to intrigue and spark conversations on the intimate relationship of food-body, and the impact of our food choices on our health, animals and the planet. That you can still indulge and nourish your body with pure food that’s meant to fuel, heal your mind, body and soul! She advocates for food as medicine through her creative work and collaborations within the community and beyond.
