From our flagship bar, online shop to menu consultations and education, we handcraft the purest, most wholesome desserts, and artisanal cheeses. In partnership with our global purveyors, we use the finest organic, raw ingredients found on the planet. Yet our mission extends beyond the beauty and goodness of plant-based food, to inspire kindness, compassion and wellbeing through education and intentional partnerships.

OUR STORY

What started as a necessary solution to the founder’s son’s dairy allergy, sparked a journey of exploration and discovery. Bridging science, artistry and culinary techniques inspired by ancient wisdom to create wholesome food. Planthropie is designed to fill a void in the market by providing wholesome plant based options that honor the gifts of Earth and people that grow the food. Planthropie is built on the belief that food should be deeply nourishing and fueling with the intention to become a collaborative vessel that brings the community together in kindness and health for all.

FOUNDER

Rua is set to redefine the art of indulgence and conscious living! From studying medicine to fleeing war in Iraq, her career started in preventative healthcare and nutritional counseling in Canada, then transitioned into business and marketing as she relocated to the US, followed by pursuing her passion in art. What started as a necessary solution to her son’s-dairy allergy, quickly sparked her passion for conscious living and nutrition. This has brought her to the birth of Planthropie. The concept bridged her background in medicine, nutrition, and business with her artistry and passion for mindful and healthy living.

 

Rua believes that you can indulge and nourish your body with pure food that’s meant to fuel, heal and inspire your mind, body and soul! She advocates for inquisitive living and outreach through her creative work and collaborations within the community and beyond.
