What started as a necessary solution to the founder’s son’s dairy allergy, sparked a journey of exploration and discovery. Bridging science, artistry and culinary techniques inspired by nutrition and ancient wisdom to create wholesome nourishing food. Planthropie was born to fill a void in the market by providing wholesome and conscious plant based options that is kind to our bodies, the animals and our planet. Planthropie is a proud woman owned & operated company that believes in food as a deeply nourishing and fueling experience, created with the intention to become a collaborative vessel that brings the community together in kindness and health for all.

Rua is set to redefine the art of conscious eating! From medical school to fleeing war in Iraq, her career started in preventative healthcare and nutritional counseling in Canada, then transitioned into business and marketing as she relocated to the US. What started as a necessary solution to her son’s-dairy allergy, quickly sparked the need to create healthy conscious alternatives and solutions. That's when Planthropie was born. The concept bridged ancient wisdom, background in medicine, nutrition, and business with her artistry and passion for plant food as art & medicine.
Rua's goal is to showcase delicious alternatives to dairy cheese and traditional dessert without compromising flavor and experience but adding health benefits and a sprinkle of compassion. The food reflects the intimate relationship of nutrition-body, and the impact of our food choices on our health, animals and the planet. She advocates for food as medicine through her creative work and collaborations within the community and beyond.
